Overview 


Kashi "Kashgar" and Tashkurgan are both located in the southwest of Xinjiang. Kashgar as an ancient "pearl of the Silk Road", is a political, economic and cultural center of Kashgar region with a large number of ethnic groups and the integration of diverse cultures. Tashkurgan is located in Tajik Autonomous County on the Pamir Plateau, famous for it's unique border scenery and ethnic customs.

 Detailed itinerary:

 

D1: Kashgar

After breakfast, heading to the ancient city of Kashgar and enter through the East Gate to participate in the opening ceremony. Stroll through the unique bazaars within the city, such as the Flower Pot Bazaar, the local Medicine Bazaar, and the Flower Hat Bazaar, admiring various handicrafts and specialty goods. Then visit the Aitigah Mosque to experience its solemn and dignified atmosphere. Tour the Fragrant Concubine Garden to learn about the legendary story of the Fragrant Concubine and enjoy the ancient architecture and garden scenery. Next, head to the GaoTai residential area, which has a history of 600 years. The buildings are built along the cliff, arranged in a staggered and orderly manner, integrating ancient residential architecture, folk customs, and intangible cultural heritage.

 

D2: Kashgar-Tashkurgan

From Kashgar to Tashkorgan County, we passed by Snad mountain lake "Baisha Lake" and enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Baisha Lake at two viewing platforms. The lake water was charming blue under the sunshine. When we arrived at Karakul Lake, we enjoyed the lake and mountain scenery as well as the surrounding snow mountains, and enjoyed the reflection of Muztagh Ata Peak.


 D3: Tashkurgan-Kashgar

After breakfast, we visit the Stone City, an important relic of the ancient Silk Road. Although it has been destroyed by time and only ruins remain, it still carries a deep history and bears witness to the rise and fall of the Silk Road and the integration of national cultures. We returned to Kashgar.
