Detailed itinerary:

Day1: Arrive in Lhasa

When you first arrive in Lhasa, you can stay at the hotel to get used to the high altitude environment. In the evening, you can go around nearby to feel the night of Lhasa.

 Day2: Lhasa - Potala Palace - Barkhor Street - Jokhang Temple.

Potala Palace is the landmark building of Xizang. It is very impressive to look down on Lhasa from Potala Palace. Barkhor Street is full of Tibetan style, with many characteristic small shops and delicious food. Jokhang Temple is bustling with incense, and it houses a life-sized statue of Shakyamuni Buddha at the age of 12.

Day3: Lhasa - Mila Pass - Basongcuo - Nyingchi

Mira Pass is windy and you should keep warm. Basongcuo Lake is green and blue like a fairyland, surrounded by snow-capped mountains. You can take a boat to tour the lake.

Day4: Nyingchi - Yarlung Zangbo Grand Canyon - Lulang Forest Sea

Yarlung Tsangpo Grand Canyon is one of the deepest canyons in the world, where you can see the magnificent Mount Namcha Barwa. Lulang Forest Sea is lush with trees and green like an ocean, and there are also characteristic stone pot chicken.

Day5: Nyingchi - Kading Gou - Nyang River Scenic Belt - Lhasa.

The waterfall in Kading Gou is spectacular, and the mountain in the gorge is dangerous and towering into the clouds. The scenery of Niang River scenic belt is picturesque, with clear water and lush vegetation on both sides.

Day6: Lhasa - Yangzhuo Yumco - Karola Glacier - Shigatse

The water of Yamdrok Yumco Lake is as blue as a gemstone, and the shoreline is winding. Karola Glacier is one of the three continental glaciers in Tibet, which can be felt in close proximity.

Day7: Shigatse - Tashilhunpo Monastery - Lhasa

Zashilunbu Monastery is one of the six major monasteries of the Gelugpa sect. The architecture of the monastery is magnificent and houses the stupa of the physical body of the previous Panchen Lama.

Day8: Lhasa to home
